Unable to load the Community Hub within ConfigMgr – Resolution
Welcome, this post will describe how to resolve the Unable to load the Community Hub error within Configuration Manager. The Community Hub is a great is a place where Microsoft and other ConfigMgr administrators share content, such as scripts, PowerBI reports, task sequences, CMPivot queries, etc.
Issue
On the site server(s) when attempting to use the fairly new community hub feature an error of Unable to load the Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager Community hub is displayed:
Resolution
As listed in the above prerequisites list, three items are listed:
- Windows 10 17110 or higher
- Windows Server 2012 R2 or higher, with Edge WebView2 browser control console extension installed.
- .net Framework version 4.6 or higher.
Seeing as we’re attempting to access the community hub from the site server, the most likely resolution to this would be item two, Windows Server 2012 R2 + with the Edge WebView2 browser control console extension installed. So, let’s install it!
Installing Edge WebView2 Browser Extension
Within the bell notification section within the ConfigMgr console, there will be a listing for New custom console extensions are available: WebView2 Extension, this is what we’re after so click Install custom console extensions:
An extension installation wizard will appear:
Once installed, a restart of the ConfigMgr console is required:
Upon reload, the community hub is available for you to download community content:
That’s it, happy discovering new content!
